The Museum of Ethnography enthused by the history of Turkmenistan. It brought up a huge collection of ancient attributes. There is scientific center with workshops, laboratories, technical studios and library in the Museum of Ethnography.
The museum was built on the edges of the Kopet Mountain, situated in Ashgabat. In addition, there are a lot of buildings, galleries used as separately or whole. The museum comprises archeological findings belonging to different civilizations of the Turkmen culture. If you enter in the Independence Hall in a tour, you will see the gifts offered to the president and the development periods of modern Turkmenistan. Also, Zoology Section consisting the natural beauties of the region. The galleries are well lightened by modern systems and has an excellent protection of artifacts.
In the basement of the building, there are laboratories, art-design workshops, archive and technical rooms. The entrance and exhibition halls are situated on the first floor. In the second floor, you will find a big exhibition hall, consisting of separate sections. In the third floor, the administrative offices, advertisement-publication departments and a library held. Moving on, you will see the flagpole with a radius of 3 m and a height of 133 m. It is one of the highest flagpole, included to the Guinness Book of Records in 2008.
The Museum of Ethnography has 4 floors as the basement floor, 8 galleries of approximately 30,000 square meters and indoor area of 15,000 square meters.
