Day 1: Dushanbe
On arrival you will be met by the driver in the airport and then transferred to Dushanbe. The day will start by having a city tour. You will visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. After that we will drive 35 km to visit Hisor fortress (VII–XVII centuries). There are fortified areas and citadel belonging to the residence of the delegate of the Emir of Bukhara. This amazing site located on a high hill of 1 m thick walls and loopholes for guns and cannons. Inside the complex were a pool and a garden. In addition there was a busy market square with a caravan serai and shops. To one side from the entrance there was a gate with its two big towers. You will see the recently restored monuments of “Madrasa I Kuhna” (new school of 16th-17th centuries), mosque; the mausoleum of “Mahdumi Azam” (16th century). Afterwards we will visit Botanical garden and Victory Park. You will be impressed by the wonderful panorama view on the city. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe – Seven lakes
Today we will to the beautiful Fannsky Gory (Fann Mountains). You will drive through Anzob pass (3 372 m) and capture wonderful panorama vies. This place is very famous in Central Asia due to hiking. Then you will visit Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes). It is about 60 km south of Panjakent. We will have time to go for short hiking. After that you will drive the road along a gorge where 7 lakes are located. These stunning lakes are situated on different altitudes and have different colors. You will meet locals there and learn more about their culture. We have no doubt it will be interesting for you. Night is in the hotel.
Day 3: Seven lakes – Penjakent
In the morning we will star drive to Penjakent via pass Shahriston of 3 378 m. The city of Penjakent or so called "five villages" is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan near outstanding Zeravshan river valley. It is important to note that the five villages made in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Penjikent city was one of the most significant cultural and crafts centers of Sogd, the second name of which is "Central Asian Pompeii". There was a city with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses decorated with paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods which were found only in the last century. You will have the opportunity to see all of them in your tour as the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshiper’s church. It will be pleasant trip. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 4: Penjakent – Dushanbe
We will drive to Dushanbe in the morning. Dushanbe is the capital of Tajikistan. It is situated at the confluence of two rivers: Varzob and Kofarnihon. Archaeological remnants were found in the 5th century BC and say that Dushanbe was more than a small village until the early 20th century. Also there was a large bazaar held on Mondays, called Dushanbe-Bazar, which means Monday in the Persian language or the second day after Saturday.
Day 5: Flight
