Istaravshan

Welcome to Istaravshan, the city in the region of Sughd Province of Tajikistan. The visitants are free to travel in the country on their own, on cars rented, as well as to turn to professionals in organization of tour trips.

In 78km from Khujand, passing the mountain range, the city with the history of 2500 years old is located. Here there is a museum, which contains the means of trade and crafts of the oldest times. Everything can be seen by the guests as they take trips along the city.

2002 is the year famous for being the one celebrating the 2500 years of existence of the city. Basically it was created in the 6^th century by a Akhemenid king Cyrus. For now this city is known as the one of the most visited places from the point of view of historical monuments.
