Chunkurchak

Chunkurchak is one of the famous gorges in outskirts of Bishkek, located in 40 km distance from the city. You can come here by a private car with driver or on a rent car. It has a ski resort rather famous among locals. If you have a ski tour across the country, this place is good to add also. 

In Chunkurchak gorge there is also a complex of bivouacs and ethno restaurant of Supara. This is a unique place that most fully corresponds to the meaning of the word "zhailoo", where you can see a fabulous valley, on the horizon of which you can see the snowy peaks of majestic mountains. At the foot of the mountain slopes, interspersed with alpine meadows and forest belts consisting of juniper, pine, larch, birch, mountain ash and numerous species of shrubs, a mountain river murmurs. Even though you are not a fan of winter sports, you can still come here to enjoy the atmosphere of mountains and rest in fresh air and enjoy national cuisine at the altitude of 2,000 meters. 

Staying in comfortable yurt hotel, you will have a free treatment with kumys (a traditional drink made of fermented mare’s milk to help gastric diseases and lots of others). It is possible to make horse tours and hiking tours in the mountains.
