1. Do people use English in China?

Lots of people in China learn English and speak it. But in the streets it is not very common to find a person who speak English and who could help you. In the hotels, some restaurants, museums and other touristic places the workers speak English. However, communication should not be an issue for you because to get the tour package you need to confirm guide’s service as well. This is obligatory to have a guide to get the Invitation letter.

2. Is it allowed to take photos wherever we want?

In the most of locations it is allowed, in some sights you have to pay to take photos and in some museums and archeological sites it is prohibited. So it is always better to ask for permission before taking photo. It is the same about people in the streets or bazaars, especially for making photo or video from a very close distance.

3. What kind of transport do you use during the tour?

Only comfortable, well maintained, air-conditioned vehicles are offered for tourists traveling in China. Depending on number of people in the group it can be a modern coach or minibus. As for the domestic flights, they are practiced on safe Airbus or Boeing aircrafts.

4. What kind of documents should I bring to China?

- First of all you have to bring your passport which is valid at least 3 month after your trip to China.

- Visa which is offered before your travel to China.

- Permit to Tibet that is obtained 15 days before coming to this area. And there are different types of permit that depend on areas you are going to visit. Please make sure you got the one you need.

5. Are the border checkpoints always available to cross?

No. There is a schedule they follow. The border checkpoints are closed during National holidays in China and on Saturday and Sunday. So it is always important to plan your tour taking it into account if there is border crossing.

6. Is the bazaar in Kashgar open every day?

No, you can visit the famous bazaar in Kashgar only on Sunday.

The bazaar in Kashgar is combined two section. The covered bazaar sells the clothing, nuts, household goods and many things out of your imagination.

The outdoor Animal Bazaar(Livestock market) is the first bazaar we visit, where the farmers and buyers arriving by donkey cart, truck, bicycle, horseback, motorbike or on foot, with their animals. It's loud, lively and cheerful as they arrive. It is quite interesting to witness their typical methods of bargain.

7. Is it possible to have a self-drive tour in China?

No, car rental services without driver for the self-drive are prohibited on the territory of China. It is only possible to get a car with a local professional driver.

8. What is the national currency in China?

The national currency in China is Yuan (CNY).

Today are used banknotes of various denominations and they differ in color. So banknotes of 1 yuan are green, 5 yuan – purple, 10 yuan – gray, 20 yuan – brown, 50 yuan – emerald and 100 yuan – red. On the front side of the banknotes there is a portrait of the great Chinese ruler, Mao Zedong, on the backside you can see local landscapes.

9. Where can I change money in China?

There a lot of exchange offices and banks. You can also change money in the hotels, shopping malls and at the airport. If you want to change your money in bank, you will need to bring your passport.

10. What is the official religion in China?

China is a multi-confessional country. People practice Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Confucianism and in some areas Shamanism. But Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism are the most widespread religions in Chinese republic.
