In short: Dushanbe – Iskanderkul Lake – Dushanbe – Norak – Dushanbe

Day 1: Dushanbe
At the airport you will meet with your guide and travel to Dushanbe. Today you will get to know the capital of Tajikistan, visiting its remarkable sites. City tour includes visiting Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. The country is claimed to have the highest flagpole in the world with a 30 m wide, 60 m long National flag. The excursion in Central Museum you will be followed by the visit to Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. To get the real taste of the local life you will visit Asian bazaar. You will observe the bustling life of the market. Night is in a hotel. 

Day 2: Dushanbe – Iskanderkul Lake – Dushanbe
Today you will visit one of the signature sights of Tajikistan in the Fann Mountains, Iskanderkul Lake. On the way to the lake you will drive through the Anzob pass. The highest point of the pass reaches 3372 m. The lake is surrounded by beautifully-shaped rocky peaks and on a sunny day, the crystal-clear turquoise water contrasts with the red rocks of the mountain slopes. After some rest at the lake shore you will start hiking tour down the river gorge to see the Iskanderkul Waterfall. Water resources of Tajikistan, formed on glaciers, river runoff, lakes, water reservoirs, and underground sources are at the second place for the volume among the Central Asia. By the end of the day you will return to Dushanbe for overnight.

Day 3: Dushanbe – Norak – Dushanbe
Today will be dedicated to the Norak water reservoir to complete your travel in Tajikistan. It is also known as Tajik Sea. The huge Norak dam shoulders above everything around, with its’ giant walls holding back the river Vakhsh and create Norak Lake. It is the second-highest dam in the world, one day perhaps to be surpassed by the unfinished Roghun dam. The huge Norak lake, 70 km long and 5 km wide, is a reservoir for Dushanbe, and the associated hydro-electricity plant provides electricity for the city. The stored water is used for irrigating 700 square km of farmland. The place is also suitable for boat tours. At the end of the day we will drive back to Dushanbe. Overnight in a hotel.

Transfer to the airport.
